Nigeria’s biggest football party - Merrybet Celebrity
FC is back this December with its 3rd edition and
this time around, it WILL be bigger and a lot more
exciting.

In a press conference that held at Club Rumours, Ikeja on the
19th of October 2016, the organisers of the event as well as some
of the top executives of the betting company revealed that people
should expect world-class musical performances, rib- cracking
jokes and amazing football skill exhibition as Nigeria’s top celebrities
will battle each other in support of their favourite football
clubs! Asides the detailed information given by the organisers,
the press conference was also an avenue used to unveil the newest
ambassadors for the betting company. Peter of Psquare, Falz and
Orezi were unveiled as the newest ambassadors for Merrybet.

Some of the headliners of the event were also present at the
press conference including Falz, Peter of Psquare, Orezi among
others. On what his fans should expect, he shared “I have been a
Chelsea fan for 16years so expect all the built up passion”.

Merry Bet Celebrity FC is an annual event that showcases
celebrities engaging in some football challenges to prove to the
audience and their fans that the team they support is the best.

INEC to deploy 18,511 personnel for Edo governorship poll

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), said it would deploy 18,511 personnel for the conduct of Sept. 10 governorship election in Edo. This is contained in the commission’s daily bulletin issued on Thursday in Abuja. INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood The number, according to the commission, will comprise one Returning Officer, 18 Local Government Area Collation Officers, 192 Registration Area Collation Officers and 263 Supervisory Presiding Officers. Others are 2,627 Presiding Officers, 12,036 Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs) I, II and III; 2,530 Assistant Presiding Officers and 728 Reserve APOs. Also on the deployment list were 19 LGA Supervisors, with one “Headquarters Reserve’’ and 97 Registration Area Cluster Supervisors as well one headquarters reserve. Edo, with 18 local government areas, has a total of 1,925,105 registered voters, 192 Registration Areas, 2, 627 Polling Units and 4, 011 Voting Points.
