The deputy governor of Nasarawa State Mr Silas Agara, has been praised by some Lafia residents and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) for consistently obeying traffic rules.
They made the commendation on Saturday in Lafia in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). “` If it is true, he has shown exemplary leadership and we will see how we can use his action to change the psyche of road users in the state on road traffic rules,” she said.
Mr Yusuf Adamu, a commercial motorcycle operator who saw the deputy governor obey traffic rules on Shendam Road in Lafia, said he was touched by the deputy governor’s action. “He has been doing it for a while and we thought it will stop, but to our surprise, he has not.
“Since he started obeying traffic rules, I have made it a duty to change my attitude and follow his example. I am very proud of him,” he said A Lafia resident,Mr Hassan Usman also praised the deputy governor for his exemplary conduct.
