No More Soul In PDP, Sheriff Carrying A Dying Baby – Obasanjo

President Olusegun Obasanjo has again mourned the fate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), saying the party he once led, has today lost its “soul.” Obasanjo who stated this shortly after receiving the factional National leader of PDP, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff at his residence on Presidential Hill top Estate, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Saturday, also said that those that occasioned the comatose state of the party are going about “unperturbed.” The former Chairman, Board of Trustees of PDP who was also a two term President of Nigeria on the ticket of the party, sympathized with Sheriff, saying he was “carrying a dying baby” on his “laps.” The ex – President who reiterated that he was has left partisan politic said that “PDP should be in an intensive care unit” for proper attention lest the factional National leader “becomes its undertaker.” According to Obasanjo, one pall of misfortunes that have all also fallen on the nation’s politics and democracy is that neither PDP is a ...

Rotimi Akeredolu Emerges As APC Governorship Candidate In Ondo State

Rotimi Akeredolu has emerged the governorship candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State following today’s primary election held amidst tight security in the capital of Akure. Church of England welcomes first openly gay bishop

A British bishop has become the first in the Church of England, the mother church of the worldwide Anglican faith  to announce he is homosexual, in an interview published Saturday. Nicholas Chamberlain, the Bishop of Grantham in central England, told the Guardian newspaper he was in a long-term relationship with his male partner, after a Sunday paper reportedly said it was about to publish a story on his private life. "It was not my decision to make a big thing about coming out,” he said, adding that he adhered to church guidelines which stipulate that gay clergy must be celibate. “People know I’m gay, but it’s not the first thing I’d say to anyone. NAF vows to protect Nigeria territorial integrity

The Nigeria Air Force (NAF) has urgedits officers and soldiers to keep fit and be readyfor deployment or redeployment to various operational theatres to protect territorial integrity of the nation. Rohr seeks Enyeama’s comeback

New Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr has said he will soon meet with Vincent Enyeama to discuss a comeback by the Lille goalkeeper to the Super Eagles. Former Nigeria skipper Enyeama quit international football in October after a spat with then Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh. His place has since been taken by Carl Ikeme, who features for English Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
