NAF vows to protect Nigeria territorial integrity

The Nigeria Air Force (NAF) has urgedits officers and soldiers to keep fit and be readyfor deployment or redeployment to various operational theatres to protect territorial integrity of the nation.

The Commander, NAF Base Services Group, Enugu, Air Commodore Ebenezer Alade, gave this charge after the `3rd Quarter 10 Kilometre Route March’’ of all NAF personnel in Enugu onSaturday.

Alade said that officers and soldiers should brace-up for massive and tasking deployment.He noted that officers and soldiers of NAF must live up to meet the demand of various theatres of operations in the North East, South-South, South-West (Lagos and Ogun States) and Jos.

"I implore you to always and constantly keep fiteven in your own time.“Many of you will be deployed and redeployed to various NAF’s operational theatres that are ongoing in the country.“Our sole mission is to protect and safe-guard the territorial integrity of the country.

“Remember, that we all vowed and sworn to protect the territorial integrity of the country to extent of paying ultimate sacrifice, if it gets to that extent,’’ he said.

Alade said that the Route March was also meant to build comradeship with members of the public, especially the peace loving Nigerians.

“So the march in major parts of Enugu Metropolis was meant to get us close to the people.“We want to show we are ready to fight for their course in keeping the nation one

“We are also ready to maintain peace in all states and communities where NAF base, formation and units exist,’’ he said.

England have been fined 45,000 Swiss francs for several breaches of Fifa's rules about displaying political symbols, the sport's governing body have confirmed. The Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, is in the news again. Again, for the wrong reason!
