The player’s agent Jorge Mendes is currently in discussions with club president Florentino Perez about a renewed contract, claims Sport, and if negotiations are successful Ronaldo will remain at the club until 2021.
The Spanish newspaper reports that Perez initially wanted the club icon to sign a new two-year deal but has been persuaded by Mendes to extend the offer by a further three years.
Ronaldo's existing deal is due to expire in June 2018, but he is ready to commit his long-term future to Madrid.
