the contrabands.
The Customs boss, who
gave the names of the
three suspects as Olowe
Oluwabunmi, Bibilari
Olaniyi, and Rasheed Abiola,
emphasised that the
anti-smuggling operation
which resulted in the in terception of the vehicles
and arrest of the suspects
lasted a week.
Among the 37 vehicles
was a Volkswagen truck

which chassis compartment
was used to conceal
50 bags of rice.
The Customs’ boss, however,
warned importers,
particularly the smugglers

act or face the stiff position
of the law, stressing that
the ban on rice importation
