A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Capt. Sunday Ebenezer Adebomi, has stated that Governor Ayo Fayose’s personality and alleged autocratic policies left him with no choice than to dump the PDP for the All Progressives Congress (APC) .

The Ise-Orun-born politician, while fielding questions from a cross section of journalists in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State Capital on Thursday, described the state PDP as Fayose’s personal business.
"Fayose ‘s style of governance can best be described as autocratic.”
He lamented that Fayose wants to be everything; the centre of attraction. He wants to be seen as the lord of everything . It is quite unfortunate that Fayose now runs the PDP as his personal business.
He runs down virtually all those he felt are better than him, such cannot be accepted by well meaning Ekiti people.”
The serving captain in the United States Army bemoaned his loss at the 2014 primaries where he alleged that he was openly robbed of his senatorial ticket by Governor Fayose and his cohorts.
He continued, “Fayose robbed most of us off our political rights in broad day light. In fact, I fought the security agents because I refused to be cheated. Fayose knows he cannot control most of us and that is why he is only impressing the illiterates in Ekiti.”
While lauding the Buhari administration, the PDP decampee, who is most likely to contest for an elective position under the platform of the APC, after his declaration which was held at Ise Ekiti his home town enjoined Nigerians to embrace the APC led administration, stressing that “the current recession in the country should be seen as an avenue to right the wrongs in all the sector of the country.
“Unlike the PDP-led administration which is full of corruption and maladministration, let's take a look at Ekiti PDP, hardly will you find any leaders in the PDP now.
They have all left the party. where is Bafem, Ayo Arise, Tope Aluko, and the rest? They have all gone. There is nothing like rule of law in PDP.”
The widely traveled politician, who is also very optimistic that he is the best to lead Ekiti to greater heights. He pointed out that interaction with the indigenous people of Ekiti gives him the edge above every other aspirants.
“I am well equipped and I have all the experience, I know where the shoe pinches and I interact freely with my people . I am a local man to the core, a common orange seller son I am for my people ‘s welfare.”
The APC chieftain said his desire is to tackle unemployment , Education and revamp the Agricultural sector if eventually he clinches the party ticket.
