Ekiti PDP chieftain joins APC, says ‘Fayose’s intolerant’

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Capt. Sunday Ebenezer Adebomi, has stated that Governor Ayo Fayose’s  personality and alleged autocratic  policies left him with no choice than to dump the PDP for the All Progressives Congress (APC) .

The Ise-Orun-born politician, while fielding questions from a cross section of journalists  in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State Capital on Thursday,  described the state PDP as Fayose’s  personal business.

"Fayose ‘s style of governance can best be  described as  autocratic.”

He lamented that Fayose wants to be everything; the centre of attraction. He wants to be seen as the  lord of everything . It is quite unfortunate that Fayose now runs the PDP as his personal business.

He runs down virtually all those he felt are better than him, such cannot  be accepted by well meaning Ekiti  people.”

The serving captain in the United States Army bemoaned his loss at the 2014 primaries where he alleged that he was openly robbed of his senatorial ticket  by Governor Fayose and  his cohorts.

He continued, “Fayose robbed most of us off our political rights in broad day light. In fact, I fought the security agents because I refused to be cheated. Fayose knows he cannot control  most of us and that is why he is only  impressing the illiterates in Ekiti.”

While lauding the Buhari administration, the PDP decampee, who is most likely to contest for an elective position under the platform of the APC, after his declaration which was held at Ise Ekiti his home town enjoined Nigerians to embrace the APC led administration,  stressing that “the current recession in the country should be seen as an avenue to right  the wrongs in all the sector of the country.

“Unlike the PDP-led administration which is full of corruption and maladministration, let's take a look at Ekiti  PDP, hardly will you find any leaders  in the PDP now.
They have all left the party.  where is Bafem, Ayo Arise, Tope Aluko, and the rest? They have all gone. There is nothing like rule of law in PDP.”

The widely traveled politician, who is also very optimistic  that he is the best  to lead Ekiti to greater heights. He pointed out that interaction with the indigenous people of Ekiti  gives him the edge above every other aspirants.

“I am well equipped and I have all the experience, I know where the shoe pinches and I interact freely with my people . I am a local man to the core, a common orange seller  son  I am for my people ‘s welfare.”

The APC chieftain said his desire is to tackle unemployment , Education  and revamp the Agricultural sector if eventually he clinches the party ticket.

IMMUNITY BILL: A MISPLACED PRIORITY

Certainly, it is not a matter of conjecture to say that the undue interference and unpalatably flagrant disregard to separation of power by the executive tier of government has raised more questions than answers on the integrity of this government and the commitment of the leadership to truly push for the genuine change in line with democratic norms all over the world.   Fatunde Bamidele Samuel (VEGA) writes from lagos. Recently, the society was encapsulated with shocking news of pension bill for the National Assembly members. However, the bill was dead on arrival. This is nothing but another heinous attempt to permanently ground the country that is already suffering from the bloodsucking bedbugs (NASS) and former governors pensions. These are almost sucking the finances of this country dry; if and only if we could act fast to salvage it then we can only hope the existence of Nigeria will not be history. The recent exploit of the National Assembly is evi...
