The ex-Boca Juniors, Barcelona and Napoli star has long struggled with his waistline, and in the past has undergone gastric band surgery to beat the problem.

But after appearing in less-than-ideal shape in recent television appearances, Maradona is now working with the renowned Dr. Ruben Muhlberger, and in his first week of treatment has already lost five kilos.

"I have made a commitment to him and he has done the same to me, Maradona will be his old self again very soon," the medic explained to Infobae.

The treatment Diego is using originated in Germany, and uses principles from biomolecular, metabolic and regenerative medicine, as well as using blood and telemetric data.

t does not include any specific diet - "You can not talk about a nutritional plan with Maradona, because he is a disciplined guy. He is not greedy, he has a sportsman's habits" - and the goal is to reactivate the patient's basic genetic material.

Muhlberger added that Diego would carry out the therapy four or five hours a day for the next two months.

"That is the time genes need to resume normal functions," he said

Certainly, it is not a matter of conjecture to say that the undue interference and unpalatably flagrant disregard to separation of power by the executive tier of government has raised more questions than answers on the integrity of this government and the commitment of the leadership to truly push for the genuine change in line with democratic norms all over the world.   Fatunde Bamidele Samuel (VEGA) writes from lagos. Recently, the society was encapsulated with shocking news of pension bill for the National Assembly members. However, the bill was dead on arrival. This is nothing but another heinous attempt to permanently ground the country that is already suffering from the bloodsucking bedbugs (NASS) and former governors pensions. These are almost sucking the finances of this country dry; if and only if we could act fast to salvage it then we can only hope the existence of Nigeria will not be history. The recent exploit of the National Assembly is evi...
