EDEN CARE ON THE WATCH

Life in Nigeria as we know it is becoming fast-paced and only the adequately prepared / supported survive, especially on the home front.

Employing domestic staff to handle domestic chores around the house has proven time and again to make life difficult for families so much that the prospect itself is getting scarier by the day.

Come to think of it, our fore-parents survived the hassles of (effortlessly) combining their day jobs with cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, etc. so why do we have to be different?

Here are three established reasons why you do not need to entrust your family and chores into the hands of complete strangers in the guise of domestic staff:

·         They could make away with your belongings while you are away at work
·         They could poison you and/or your family
·         They could kidnap your beautiful children and turn around to demand several millions of naira as ransom.

Money that is hard to come by in the current economic situation of Nigeria!
Very scary scenarios validating age-long beliefs that we do not need to waste our scarce resources on employing domestic staff for 'menial' household chores.

But the reality of the situation is to choose NOT to hire domestic Staff AND

·         Watch ourselves grow old before our time as we struggle to juggle the several balls on our hands like a magician
·         Spend more on hospital bills
·         Or Risk dying young!

Are you thinking within you that life is short anyway so why bother to make things easy while alive?

The truth is that the world has changed drastically from when our fore-parents did everything all by themselves.

The challenges are more and if there is any safe option we can explore to enjoy this one shot at life, why not?

The unsavoury outcome of not employing domestic staff is (avoidable) STRESS resulting from doing a thousand little tasks, in addition to our day jobs which sometimes run from 4am – 12am in busy commercial hubs such as Lagos!
